When you ran out of gas, the pump probably pucked up crud from the bottom of tge tank and clogged the fuel filter – it’s not uncommon. I’d change the fuel filter, and pick up a can of Seafoam (Walmart or any auto parts store). The next time you fill up, pour the Seafoam into the tank and fill up on top of it.
