Special Abilities are only for the characters you can unlock once you beat story mode and purchase those characters from the Store with 5000 Gems per character 3 share, I’m not sure, but i think the option to turn special abilities on or off (which is always in the Battle Mode options) refers to the abilities of the unlockable 5 Dastardly Bombers (which appear in the store after beating Story Mode). So it’s like in Super Bomberman 4? Sounds awesome.
