SR is not accurate representation of skill. It is just a tier and reward system that is easier to classify players. MMR is the true representation of skill and it is hidden and not perfect.

It has no effect best way to gain sr is winning games. Accuracy and those type of stats have no effect on sr gain. Performance based sr gain does occur but only in plat and below.
1/26/2021 · Winning games, of course, will earn SR. Losing a game will cause you to lose SR, however. Some players may assume they’ve conquered.

Competitive Overwatch is like gambling. Whenever you join a match there is a minimum bet. The outcome of the match determines your ‘payout’ from the bet. The odds do not need to be favorable to you. Your goal is to minimise your losses, not maximise your gains. When your SR values change after a match, those SR values are exchanged with the system.
